Divide India into pieces!

Are you shocked to read the title of the article. Well, then expect what would be the reaction of the person who actually heard it from one of the current generation’s youth who wants the country to be divided?
He was my fellow traveller in a train and as soon as the matter of politics came in our attention veered towards the situation of Telangana and other separatist demands. The person wanted that all of the separate state demands should be met because all of those who are coming up with the demands are justified in their cause. For once, every other person in the train hearing our conversation were stunned before they could murmur their reaction.
One of them asked, “If really all of the demands were accepted what would be the entity of India? Will it remain at all?”
“Uncle! If the countrymen do not want to remain in the country let them go and have their own state or country.”
I personally feel, if things were such simple and each demand be met with such a simple solutions, then the day would not be long when each present city would be disintegrated into 100 different countries. Each street having its own capital and each lane having its own law and each house having a different visa policy.
On a more serious note, if backwardness and law and order situation is reason enough to ask for a separate state or country, then why not the backward areas of a city which are also tough in law and order situation be declared as different states or countries. Strange argument, ain’t it? But a valid one considering the argument put up by my distinguished friend.
