A verdict for Unity

The Ayodhya-Babri Masjid verdict which was the most talked about in recent times has come as a breath of relief for many sections of the society. Rather than the verdict, the aftermath of the it is the most welcoming sign of India.
That there were no communal tensions happening anywhere in the country came off as a sign of growing maturity of Indian populace with regards to the sensitive matters of religion. True, the tensions surrounding the religious divide have always been present and their presence just cannot be wished away. That the Indian society is showing the signs of tolerance and the will to cope up with realities is very warming.
Whether there was a temple or a mosque is now a thing of history. But that dispute had led to various undesirable things in the past. And with the latest verdict, it has become clear that India has moved on and is giving a message to the world that the Secular credentials of the country cannot be disputed with. Though there might be dissidents from either side about the division of the land, the wholesomeness of the verdict has indeed took away the levels of hatred from both the communities.
Now that the statement of peace has been made by the society the time has now come to show to the world what India is capable of.
