The decade of 9/11

If at all there was an event in the recent times which has changed the world upside down and pushed the world order into chaos, then the event should be noted in the annals of history as the turning point of mankind. September 11th, 2001 was such date which has altered the course of human race altogether in a single stroke.
Not much of introduction is required for the events of that particular day which is still fresh in the collective memory that to recall the horrors of the day would be like to recall the Ghosts of the Past creep back into the minds in the present. Five planes which took off from various places in the US of A have changed the history of mankind and pushed the world into a situation where freedom is always judged and curbed.
The terrorist strikes orchestrated by the Al-Qaeda proved to be a conspiracy against the US and soon assumed proportions as a war between civilisations. It is a pity that the powers that be which ought to have shaped the policies during the moments of crisis were found wanting and their inefficiency has put the very notion of security in danger. Millions of lives have been lost due to the steps taken by the Allied forces in retaliation to the attacks but the threat to the world still remains and infact has taken alarming proportions. The light at the end of the tunnel is still not visible to many and may be the travel to see a glimmer of hope is very much on.

Let us remember all those who died innocently without knowing for which cause they were being sacrificed. Let us pray for their souls and put them in peace.
