Chiranjeevi may have become a laughing stock after getting drubbed in the last year’s elections, but slowly but surely he seems to be hitting the right notes as a politician. Still he may be ridiculed by his opponents for his innoccuous statements, but these very statements have set people to react and that is a very important development for Chiranjeevi’s growth as a politician and a leader.
Earlier this week, Chiranjeevi made a hard-hitting statement questioning the accumulation of assets by the Kadapa MP, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. He indirectly asked for the secret of amassing thousands of crores within 5 years of power. This statement has started a commotion of sorts within the Congress, in both pro-Jagan and Anti-Jagan lobbies. They were quick to counter Chiru but still they were not vehement in their counter-attack. The reason? Ciru had offered them an olive branch earlier saying that he would extend Outside Support to Congress Government in case of a crisis.
Expectedly, the duo of Rajashekar-Jeevita counter attacked Chiru but there were no others in their attack on the Actor-turned-politician as was expected. In a way, Chiru has scored major brownie points with the public by placing himself between the Congress High-command and YS Jagan.

He is being forced and heckled to start his own party, which can be detrimental to the survival of Congress itself. That situation would put Chiru in a comfortable place as there can be a four-pronged competition in the state with Congress, TDP, PRP and the Jagan party. Though Jagan’s party might be a wild guess but still stranger things have happened in politics.
The political acumen of Chiranjeevi yet can be debated but the way he is bracing himself for any eventuality in the future of the state has set him a target and a goal for the coming 2014 elections. May Chiru become a mature politician for the betterment of the state.
