One genuine(??) year of Magadheera

“Magadheera,” the Telugu film which created a sensational assault on the box-office records of Telugu cinema completes one year of its run today. The film which had Ram Charan and Kajal Agarwal in the lead roles had scripted a sensational run in a theater of Kurnool where it ran for one continuous year.
The film was a phenomenal success and it showcased the earning potential of Telugu Cinema if made well and marketed well. The success of “Magadheera” was like a shot in the arm for Tollywood which did not had a proper hit which lured audience to the theaters. The film completed one year and it celebrates the creative ability of its director, SS Rajamouli and the marketing acumen of its producer, Allu Aravind. http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=widgetsamazon-20&o=1&p=8&l=bpl&asins=B001RGQ5MI&fc1=000000&IS2=1&lt1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=0000FF&bc1=000000&bg1=FFFFFF&f=ifr
All is fine, but I feel that the one-year record of Magadheera is not deserved as the fans of Chiranjeevi took pains to make it run for one year in a single theater in Kurnool. They have contributed to paying the theater rents for weeks together and achieved their directionless goal of making their star’s film run for an year. This is a bad omen and does not augur well for the future of Telugu cinema and society in general. This kind of trend may lead to open competition among fans’ of other stars and in the process ruin the finances of their families. It is time the stars warn their fans not to indulge in these kind of activities.
