Khan! The new target of Sena!

The latest topic of discussion is about the impending release of “My Name Is Khan” in Mumbai. The release of this film has been laced with roadblocks from the ever present danger of Shiv Sena.

The hero of the film, Shahrukh Khan has run into trouble with the Shiv Sena supremo, Bal Thackeray when he said that Pakistani players should have been selected for IPL for they are the best players in T20 cricket. Balasaab was quick to brand SRK as the traitor and asked him to apologise for eulogising Pakistanis. But Khan never budged and stood by his comments.

Immediately the Shiv Sainiks rose in protest against Khan threatening to disrupt the release of “My Name is Khan” which is about to release on 12th. Already the multiplexes of Mumbai have cancelled the advance bookings of the film fearing the security situation. Though the Maharashtra Government is claiming that it would provide maximum security to the film, the multiplexes and single theaters do not want to take a chance with their property.

It is rather sad that various industries have come into mortal danger and existential threats with the political battles of some skewed interests of the country. Hope the country comes out these kinds of threats.
