Sania gives a HEARTQUAKE

Sania Mirza, the most glamorous and popular sportswoman of India, gave many of her fans a  big “HEARTQUAKE” of sorts when she announced that she would be playing no more tennis after marriage.
This was announced by Sania herself when she interacted with the media. This Hyderabadi, who is more known for her looks than her efficient play on court, has said that she is contemplating to stop playing tennis once she gets married to her beau, Sohrab Mirza.

Sania was engaged to this businessman, whom she knows from childhood, last July and ever since she had cut down on her playing tours. She appeared on court only recently after a spate of injuries and her career is not going great also. If Sania sticks to her decision, India would be losing its most successful sportswoman after PT Usha.

But it is Sania’s fans who will feel much as they would have to recount the playing days of Sania instead of watching her live in action.

All the best, Sania for your life. But many hope that you will come back on to the court like Kim Clijsters and Lindsay Davenport. Your fans will not lose hope.

  1. she has lost focus in da game..its better to quit than those habitual first round exits…

  2. hope at least she wins this slam of her life unlike the first round exits in her other carrer …..
but i object calling her most successful after P.T.Usha…..

  3. Er…then Sania should be called most popular since PT Usha…. But still, she is also successful

  4. you cannot forget…karanam malleswari…
OLYMPIC MEDAL ….. ONLY THE THIRD IN the glorious history of the world's second largest population… what else is success to you??

  5. Yeah! But still Sania is seen as more successful and if u start naming sportswomen the first two names would be PT Usha and Sania. For common public Malleswari is already forgotten. But we cannot deny her place in History…But as it is It hapeens only in India….
