HEARTQUAKE: This time for a Maestro

We just shared about the HEARTQUAKE Sania Mirza gave to her fans when she announced her decision of not playing tennis after marriage. But the HEARTQUAKE we are going to share now is one which was given by Air India to one of the greatest prodigies of the country, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan.

The great Sarod maestro who transports people into different world with his masterful play of SAROD was a broken man when the Air India staff delivered him his musical instrument, SAROD, in broken condition. The callousness of the authorities and the way the legend was treated in the whole episode makes us feel bad about the Government agencies.
Ustad Amjad Ali Khan was almost in tears when he said that the SAROD which was broken was his companion for the past 25 years. He said that it was that SAROD through which he attained all the glory. And to lose it due to the callous attitude of the porters was totally not acceptable.
The said incident happened last thursday when Amjad saab was about to give a concert in Mumbai. It was a sad parting for the maestro and his muse, the SAROD. The Minsiter of Civil Aviation, Praful Patel apologized to the maestro but it cannot be sufficient to the damage suffered.
But one can safely say as the adage goes, IT HAPPENS ONLY IN INDIA.

  1. Let sarod aside… Be thankful that they delivered the person intact….

  2. You mean to say that Amjad Ali Khan should celebrate himself being alive….Hahah….somebody tell him that he should thank Praful patel than the Minister apologising to him
