Magic time! Yipeee!

Now folks, this is the greatest and most happy news for all Telugu film lovers. The greatest telugu film ever, Mayabazaar, is being colorized. And this news has me in high spirits ever since.

A bit of history of Mayabazaar:

This film is always considered as the best screenplay to hit telugu cinema. This film was released in the year 1957 and since then it has entered the annals of history. It can be said that this single film has shaped many a career and shaped the future of Telugu cinema.
The major reason for the success of the film can be attributed to the language used. The director of the film, KV Reddy preferred for the commonly spoken language of the times rather than opting for the chaste Telugu which was used in the dramas. Added to that the special effects, read trick photography by Marcus Bartley managed to capture audience’ attention in a big way. And finally the performances of the lead actors, NTR, ANR, SVR, Savitri, Gummadi, Relangi et al have contributed to the classical status which the film enjoys today.
The credit of Mayabazaar must also be given to Ghantasala and the director KV Reddy for coming up with such an epic which is still vivid in the memories of its audience.
One thing if I have to say about Mayabazaar is that, the viewers of the film may age but the film itself never ages. Such is the magic and aura of MAYABAZAAR.
I hope that the colorized version will further augment its position as the greatest Telugu film ever.
Cheers and Love,
Krishna Chaitanya.
